Issues can be resolved in minutes rather than months and it helps us to keep our relationships strong and more personal. It’s great for negotiating pricing and looking into different development options to ensure we are competitive in all manner of product, not only in terms of pricing but in the product we offer….

So off The Sauce went! We stayed at THE LANGHAM PLACE IN MONGKOK we love The executive Lounge and the vibrancy of Mongkok – the shops are alive and light up until midnight!

Hong Kong Island has some amazing shopping – the Luxe travel guides have some great shopping and dining tips.  Peking Duck is always on our hit list.  The Peninsula Hotel is a bit of an institution in Hong Kong so make time to do High Tea there at least once. There is something for everyone and every budget – Lane Crawford department stores are a favourite and the Ladies Markets are great for presents.

The action in Hong Kong doesn’t stop. China always makes you appreciate home and everything we have!

A meal that stood out from the rest was a banquet dinner organised by the staff in our China office was quite funny – the second course was a baby pig with cherries in it’s eyes and flashing lights behind them going around on a lazy susan…..the poor little thing….oink oink.

We saw lots of exciting new developments from all of our factories, China really does have their finger on the pulse.

We visited our factories in SHENZHEN/GUANGDONG, and made a day trip to say hello to our friends at our factory in GUANGHZHOU.  We THEN headed up to north China to check out our straw factories in Ningbo. We based ourselves at our Hong Kong office in SAN PO KONG and work out of here during our stay.

We definitely saw a lot of checks at the fabric markets – they were everywhere.  We also sourced some great technical fabrics, loads of new colours and treatments and heaps of new mesh and nylon colours for our trucker caps.  POP colours are huge right now so we were really stoked to find a lot of exciting stock colours to offer our customers.  We’re happy to take ‘requests’ for new fabrics, so always let us know if you’re looking out for something specific – if it’s out there, we’ll find it!
